SFTR – Call to action

Following the announcement by the European Commission on the 13th December that they are progressing with the ratification of the SFTR reporting requirements, there it is expected to be a 3-month parliamentary approval process, then the reporting go-live date will be Q2 2020 for the first phase of reporting firms.

Whilst this process continues firms have time to review their SFTR programme or start this where necessary.

At The Field Effect, we have worked on a number of SFTR programmes and can help review the requirements and identify any gaps or issues firms have with their programme, whilst confirming resource requirements and programme governance.  If firms are about to start, then we can help accelerate the programme delivery using our codified analysis of the regulatory requirements.  In addition, firms can take advantage of our process review to ensure alignment to industry best practices and assess the impacts on the business.

Whilst helping firms establish their programme or review progress to date, we can provide a detailed 30/60/90-day action plan, along with a programme roadmap if required, identifying what firms should be progressing with whilst the ratification processes is on-going and what can wait until afterwards.

In addition, we offer accredited training to help bring project teams up to speed with product specific knowledge, along with a detailed overview of the regulatory requirements and are actively working with a number of firms to provide an industry wide testing facility, to help not only firms with their implementation, but also to facilitate cross industry testing prior to the go-live date.
